September Project #3 for High Holidays

In addition to our two great projects this year, we have a third project –a heart-throb for those who want to help Israelis in need.

It’s 270 Rosh Hashanah/Sukkot meals, delivered to Holocaust Survivors/elderly who are unable to fend for themselves.  These are full meals for the 2 – ½ day holiday closure, which includes chicken and sides.  This project is in Haifa.

These will be delivered to people that are not able to go out and walk to a meal, most times either blind, bedridden, medical maladies, Alzheimers, etc.  The project is preparing and delivering packaged holiday meals to them personally.  These meals are holiday meals for Rosh HaShanah (Feast of Trumpets) and Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) and include special cooked dishes traditional for those holidays.

Israel Relief Aid’s other two projects for September are a hot meal in Beer Sheva for elderly and Holocaust Survivors that are able to walk to the meal and sit together for some company and a nutritious meal.

In addition to that Israel Relief Aid also wants to send 3000 ils ($1000) of food stock to the mens homeless shelter and battered womens/childrens shelter in Beer Sheva, that these needy ones won’t be without decent meals for the whole holiday month of September – with Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot.
