The whole downtown area of Tel Aviv is home to the homeless . . . here and there you will see them. It’s a scene that really reaches the heart.
Hunger and homelessness often go hand in hand. Of course, homeless people deserve meals just as we all do. In Israel, thousands are homeless.
Yet in downtown Tel Aviv there is a life-saver – a café just for the homeless to have a hot meal daily. We call it the “Homeless Café”.
Israel Relief Aid and supporters like you have been helping this café for several years now. In December again, Israel Relief Aid sent a huge amount of food stuffs for the cooking of the meals. The staff there greatly appreciates it, because although there are volunteer teams to run the functions of the café, food always needs to be purchased on a continual basis.
