In data released on Sept. 20, 2022, the Central Bureau of Statistics said Israel’s population now stands at just over 9.5 million residents (74% of those are Jewish).
Over 2.5 million live in poverty, among them 1.1 million kids.
Approximately 59,000 new immigrants arrived in Israel this year— in large part due to Russia’s Ukraine invasion.
During the High Holidays, when we reflect on our lives and purpose in this universe, we remind ourselves of how good it feels to be an instrument of change in peoples’ lives.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all who have participated in Israel Relief Aid monthly events, aid containers and projects to make a difference in the lives of so many in need. It’s been a pleasure serving with you; we consider ourselves your personal representatives here in Israel.
I look forward to what we will accomplish together this New Year to touch lives in an endless myriad of ways, bringing stock to the aid centers and the people on the street, and assisting institutions with numerous needs. For each of you:
