Israeli Holocaust Survivors, disabled, widows and others
living under the poverty line in the central district were driven up to
Jerusalem recently in July for a full lunch in the city, along with a visit to
the Western Wall and Friends of Zion Museum.
Along with the nutritious meal, the participants were
given the background of the Western Wall and events that happened there in the
historical writings, which references to the future of Jerusalem.
This kind of visit is not a possibility when people can’t
even pay their monthly bills. They
were also given historical reference materials to read at home.
Learning about their heritage brings great peace and soothes
the hunger for knowledge, especially for Holocaust Survivors, the poor and the
lonely.
Let’s keep doing these “special feedings”! Helping toward
these visits makes you a participant!
