Today (July 10, 2019), an aid container for 28 aid centers quickly unloaded at Ashdod at 6 a.m. in the morning, and 9:30 a.m. in Haifa without any unloading cost, nor transport to all the centers. The aid centers are not close together at all, located in the north near the Lebanon border in Maalot all the way to the south in Beer Sheva and Sderot.
The cartons did not have to be stored in an expensive
warehouse requiring rent, property taxes, security, insurance, expensive
employees and warehousing shelving, forklifts, etc.
They were simply handed over to the aid centers who already
rent buildings (but need stock to distribute.
There was no cost to unload the boxes from the container.
The long waiting time for the aid centers to receive was
. . . eliminated.
Why do others make
humanitarian aid to Israel so expensive?
It doesn’t have to be!
