Tsfat and Lag b’Omer

The first of three May projects: Food bags for Holocaust Survivors, Ukrainian immigrants and welfare roll families in the north in Tsfat.  Incredibly, it ended up on Erev Lag b’Omer, the busiest day of the year up the the Tsfat/Meron area.  With all entrances to Tsfat blocked by Police road blocks, the Tsfat aid center sent a vehicle to come to the entrance of Tsfat to collect the bags. Where there’s a will there’s a way!

Jerusalem and Shavuot

With 507 Ukrainian immigrants on hand in Jerusalem, a lunch meal was provided, they were taken to see sites in the city and educated about Hebrew history and song.  All for free, the immigrants love this treat and a fun day for them.

Natzaret and Reconciliation

Food bags were also packed in Natzeret and given to Muslim families living under the poverty line.

These Muslim families were shocked to receive them and dialogs began as to why Israelis would want to do this nice thing for them.

It softens hearts and changes minds.

Thank you to all our partners who are responsible for all this great aid help in the Land of Israel!     www.israelrelief.org.il
