In the Galil (northern section of Israel) lies the serene Kinneret (Sea of Galilee).

Tiberias is the largest city around it. Since Tiberias is in the northeast of Israel, it is far away from the large cities of Haifa, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv where jobs are plentiful. Therefore, Tiberias sees more unemployment than these large cities.
When there is unemployment, there is poverty, regardless of other reasons for poverty like disability, Holocaust Survivors, single-parent families, immigrants, etc.
Israel Relief Aid was excited to direct a recent container to Tiberias for distribution to new immigrants and other Israelis living under the poverty line.
For new immigrants with empty apartments, this container of furniture was a lifesaver. New mattresses, sofas, sofa chairs, dining room sets, etc. were included.
A big thank you to all of you that helped bring this container from Holland up to Tiberias!
