UPDATE: Burnt House Repairs for the Holidays

Burnt House of Aid Center Partner Managers

Israel Relief Aid’s December Project was assisting with repairs to a burnt house in a recent large fire in Nof HaGalil in the north of Israel.

Aid Center Partner Managers

This was not just any house, but the house of the managers of one of our aid centers in Nazareth Ilit (Nof HaGalil).  This family got out there to help their neighbors save their houses but they could not save their own.  Only their house took damage in the fire.

Since then, donations came into the family to repair the roof, which was the first priority before the rains.  However, also destroyed were windows, casings, exterior stone and shutters, walls, the backyard trees, landscaping and much more.

This couple has given of themselves and have run an aid center for people living under the poverty line, Holocaust Survivors, disabled, Ukrainian new immigrants, etc. for many years.  “The rain falls on the just and unjust” . . . even good people are not spared from life’s blows.  It was an opportunity for us to bless THEM.  Despite the tragedy, this couple would never stop giving out to others at the aid center.

THANKS TO YOU, Israel Relief Aid was able assist with funding the repair on the windows/electric shutters.  Work is still being done, but you can see in the picture what is on order and soon to be installed.
