Carmiel (meaning “God’s vineyards” in Hebrew) is a city in northern Israel established in 1964 as a development town. Located in the Beit HaKerem Valley which divided upper and lower Galilee, Carmiel has a population of over 46,000 (2019). Roughly 34% of Carmiel residents earn minimum wage only.

Israel Relief Aid has been helping the Carmiel aid center for many years. Recently we brought in a container of clothing and sports shoes, and targeted the seniors and Holocaust Survivors first with this great item.

These went all over Israel, in different colors/styles, and these are some of the people in Carmiel that were helped: those that are elderly and immigrants that live in an apartment that almost doesn’t have any furniture are able to walk out of their house in dignity. For these people, buying a pair of good sport shoes is not within their reach.
Those seniors who also have physical ailments, for them these sport shoes are a way to help the healing process.
Without your participation, this would not have been possible. What a blessing you have brought to the lives of Israelis that are so in need!
Reminder: Sderot Project of diapers and food bags is continuing, amidst the bombs and barrage of incendiary balloons. If you haven’t gotten involved in that project, it is a timely one:
